Chakras, a topic that often sparks curiosity, is worth exploring. Instead of overwhelming you with excessive information, let's start with the basics.
Chakra, derived from the Sanskrit word meaning 'wheel', refers to energy centers within our bodies. While there are 114 chakras in total, most recognize the significance of the 7 major ones. Each of these chakras is associated with an element (air, earth, fire, water, spirit) and represents various energies within our physical, emotional, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual selves.
Chakras are dynamic wheels of energy where our physical and conscious aspects intersect. This energy, known as Prana, is the life force that keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.
Each chakra can exist in three states: balanced, overactive, or underactive/blocked. An overactive chakra signifies an excessive distribution of energy, leading to an imbalance. Conversely, an underactive or blocked chakra indicates a hindrance in the flow of energy.
Blockages or imbalances in our chakras can be caused by stress, illness, emotional distress, unhealthy eating habits, or conflicts. When a chakra is blocked or overactive, it increases the likelihood of experiencing dis-ease in both our physical and spiritual bodies.
It is important to recognize that all chakras are interconnected. The ultimate goal is to maintain open, aligned chakras with a smooth flow of energy between them. When one chakra experiences a blockage or imbalance, it impacts the others, resulting in disruptions in our mind, body, and spirit.
Fortunately, there is good news! Through holistic and spiritual wellness practices such as Reiki, you can always restore your chakras to a state of balance and harmony.
